1912-2013

Third generation (granddaughter of Joe and Lizzie Price): Blanche Isabel Price < Joseph Leslie Price < Joseph Price

Blanche Isabel Price (who went by her second name, “Isabel”), daughter of Joseph Leslie Price and Ida Blanche Edmonds, was born in Toronto on April 1, 1912.

She married Mansell Herbert “Red” Moore in Toronto on July 25, 1936. They had five children:

  1. Leslie Herbert Moore
  2. PMM (living)
  3. GLM (living)
  4. CAM (living)
  5. Susan Isabel Moore

Isabel died in Mississauga, Ontario on March 9, 2013, a few weeks short of her 101st birthday. She was buried at Pine Hills Cemetery in Toronto.

The photograph featured at the top of the page is an enhanced and colourized version of one taken by a Toronto Globe photographer in 1930. It was for an article honouring prize winners to be recognized at Malvern Collegiate’s commencement ceremonies that year.

The colourizing software I have used seems to assume that everyone has brown eyes. Apologies to Isabel’s descendants if her eyes were, in fact, blue.

The 9 x 11 cm black and white glass negative now resides in the City of Toronto Archives.
